Cruising FAQ's
What
do we bring?
Casual clothes, alcoholic beverages, favorite CD’s, DVD’s or MP3
player (IPOD) which connect to Nauti Cat stereo via MP3 cable we
have onboard.
Can
we bring a 3rd couple?
Possible, a couple would have to sleep on dinette conversion bed
and share closet and showers with the other couples. There would
be small additional cost for extra food.
Can
guests come on boat during trip?
Of course, invite guests back for drinks or have friends meet
and come out to boat, however, guests can’t spend night or
cruise.
Can
we scuba dive?
Not from Nauti Cat, but you can set up a dive boat to pick you
up on Nauti Cat and take you out scuba diving.
Do
you have internet on boat?
Sometimes, we have a wifi antenna on radar arch so we can get
wifi signals sometimes 3 miles offshore, just need to find
signal with no security or pay for access.
How
much fresh water?
The boat has two 80 gallon tanks for fresh drinkable water.
During your trip, water conservation is a must. Taking sailor
showers and turning the water off while brushing your teeth
helps conserve water.
How
do heads work?
Heads – aka – toilets are a little different. They work on
the same principle as a garbage disposal in your sink. Single
ply toilet paper is used to prevent binding up the macerator. 3
to 4 sheets folded, used, flushed, works well.
Do
we need snorkel gear?
Yes, it’s wise to bring your own. We have some extra
equipment available, it’s not the best, but can be used in the
event your equipment fails during your trip. We also have a
limited size range of fins available.
Do
we need a passport?
No. All travel throughout the Florida Keys and Dry Tortugas
is not considered leaving the country. A passport will be
necessary for trips to the Bahamas.
Are
other itineraries available?
Yes. We will try to meet the needs of all who wish to visit
the Florida Keys. Places of interest can be discussed during the
initial inquiry to reserving your charter. Extended time
periods, greater than 10 days, may be a little difficult to
accommodate
